MDU Visits Quincy High School!

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016 Ernie Boch Jr. and his Music Drives Us Foundation presented the Quincy Band Boosters with a grant for $10,000 to support the re-establishment of a competitive marching band program. The grant will be used to hire a part-time team of marching band specialists including: Marching Coordinator, Drum-Line Instructor, and Color Guard Coordinator, which are necessary positions for a strong and competitive program. The booster club plans to use the grant to help cover those costs over the next three years.

The marching band played a few tunes from their upcoming Thanksgiving Halftime show for Mr. Boch and Mayor Koch during his visit to Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. Ernie Boch Jr., founder of Music Drives Us said of the presentation, “Music Drives Us is proud to present the City of Quincy and their growing new marching band with this grant."
