Lowell High School Sends Update to MDU!

Music Drives Us received a heartwarming letter of appreciation from Lowell High School, one of our 2017 Grant Recipients! During the last grant cycle, Debra Caverly, a member of the Lowell High School Choral Arts Parent Group, applied for a grant to support the school’s Choral Arts program that was in need of new instruments & equipment for their pit band and risers for their show choir.

Music Drives Us was able to provide the pit band with amps, a digital piano, a hardshell keyboard, a drum & cymbal set, and other great equipment. The grant was also able to fund three new risers for the show choir to perform on.
The students were overjoyed with the new instruments and equipment. One student’s statement truly encompasses everyone’s feelings at Lowell High: “I’m extremely happy to see that the show choir, and the pit band, were gifted with new materials to revitalize our love of music.”

The Student Stage Manager was also positively affected, saying, “Having this new equipment makes me have a new pride within our school and the name Lowell High. When I have to tell other schools that we do not have to use their drum kit or piano, I feel this sense of pride. That pride comes from knowing that people believe in us.”

Music Drives Us was thrilled to have been able to support such talented and deserving students. Keep up the good work, Lowell High!
